Divining is one of my favorite activities. I have a gift for using divining rods in particular and enjoy using them to find lost objects, water and the occasional missing pet on my farm. The dowsing rods, shown here on the left from Amazon.com, are one of my favorite sets and are very easy to use for the beginner. They're handmade in Florida from C. Green and come with a handy how-to guide in the package.
